Our Story
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to promote self-care by offering high quality candles that are hand-poured with natural and clean ingredients. Our goal is to uplift and inspire women to care for themselves in the same way they care for those they love.
WHERE IT STARTED
Crafting candles was birthed out of a very dark and challenging season of my life. I realized I had lost my identity as an individual and was consumed by motherhood. My cup was completely empty so I went on a journey to intentionally allow God to fill me. I was able to find the light in the midst of the storm that led me to El Faro which means Lighthouse in Spanish.
When I was younger, my sister and I spent our summers in the Dominican Republic for the first few years of our lives. My grandparents had a coconut tree right in front of their house. We ate fresh fruits and when it rained we were allowed to play outside. As I got older I realized that when it rained here in the states, the scent before and after would trigger those happy memories for me. My childhood memories on the beautiful island of the Dominican Republic inspired the theme and selection of each scent.
